As I eavesdrop on conversations in local eateries, the topic often drifts to energy independence, pollution or the polar ice cap. Finally, people are becoming aware of their carbon footprint and making changes in their day to day lives to reduce the amount of pollution they contribute. Green is the new “Gold” to some as financial savings have a large part to do with being energy efficient. Government incentives are also encouraging change in residential energy consumption and guiding the public to renewable resources and efficiencies.
